PHE Senior Research Economist James Baumgardner, PhD, and colleagues conducted an analysis aimed at determining whether spending within oncology care episodes is associated with survival. Researchers utilized evidence from geographic variations in spending and individual-level survival. The results were recently published in the Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy (2018;24[6]:504-513).
